Integrated AIDS work AIDS work which is implemented along with, or as part of, development and humanitarian work. The focus is on prevention, care, treatment, or support but with the difference that the work is conducted in conjunction with, and linked to, other projects or within wider programmes.
Internal mainstreamingchanging organisational policy and practice in order to reduce the organisation’s susceptibility to HIV-infection and its vulnerability to the impacts of AIDS. The focus is on AIDS and the organisation. It has two elements: AIDS work with staff, such as HIV prevention and treatment, and modifying the ways in which the organisation functions.
