A Reporting and Evaluation Cycle has been implemented across both research and support projects. Projects provide monthly updates on achievements in key reporting areas to the Executive. This information is then synthesised in Annual Project Reports, and Performance Indicators are reported in the Institute’s Annual Report.
COMPETITIVE TENDERING AND CONTRACTING
AIMS has contracted out several non-core, on-going functions on a competitive basis. These include ship management, building maintenance, ground maintenance, cleaning and catering services, and security. In addition, the Institute outsources specialist activities on an as needs basis e.g. management of the infrastructure refurbishment program.
