Effectiveness - Overall achievement of the outcome - (Measures, indicators and targets used as appropriate)

ANSTO operates within a set of performance indicators agreed with Government to provide an insight into its overall effectiveness and success in achieving the science and technology outcome:

1. 
   client satisfaction and user adoption of ANSTO developments;
   
2. 
   earnings and net contributions from external research and services contracts and from commercial operations;

   level and quality of scientific and technical publications and conference contributions;
   
2. 
   level of external use of ANSTO facilities;
   
3. 
   level of involvement in international policy developments;
   
4. 
   level of successfully completed research and service contracts for industry and government, and
   

- adoption by users of practices, instruments and processes developed by ANSTO.

ANSTO reports against those indicators in its Annual Report.
